Meet Sunny!
Sunny is a handsome 9-year-old, 70lb neutered pittie mix who is eager to bring joy and endless affection to his forever home. He's a playful, goofy boy with a huge heart and an infectious enthusiasm for life. Whether he's giving kisses, showing off his tricks, or playing with his favorite toys, Sunny is happiest when he's spending quality time with his people. He has been living with a professional trainer and has an excellent foundation in obedience, knowing commands like sit, down, stay, place, and several fun movement tricks. Sunny is fully house-trained and crate-trained, settling nicely in his kennel at night. Because he's so food motivated, he's eager to learn and enjoys continuing his training.
Ideal Home
Sunny would thrive in an active family or couple who can continue his training, provide structure, and shower him with the love and affection he craves. He walks well on a loose leash but can become excited when he sees other dogs, pulling or lunging in his eagerness to say hello. With calm guidance and redirection, he quickly refocuses. He plays enthusiastically with medium and large dogs, but because he doesn't always recognize when another dog is ready for a break, he'll need slow, proper introductions and continued guidance. He doesn't love every dog he meets, so finding the right canine companion is important. While he'd do well with a balanced, tolerant dog, he'd also be perfectly happy soaking up all the attention as your one and only. Sunny loves meeting new people and greets them with excitement, though he can get mouthy when he's excited. He'd do best with older, dog-savvy children (10+) who can help reinforce good manners and respect his boundaries.
