Otis

Otis is a charming senior bulldog, approximately 8-10 years old and weighing about 75 pounds, who is ready to find his forever retirement suite. He quickly bonds with people who offer him pets and has a hilarious personality that will keep you smiling. Otis has experience living with dogs and cats and has done well meeting school-aged children. He would love a quieter household where he can nap, relax, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like sitting with his people, being a cooking companion, and going for car rides. Otis is house-trained when kept on a schedule and does well in his crate. Despite his love for a slower pace, he enjoys following his foster parents around, finding sunbeams, going for slow strolls, and sitting on the deck. He has also discovered a new passion for chewing on bones!

Ideal Home

Otis would thrive in a quieter household where he can relax and nap. He needs an adopter who is savvy about bulldogs and understands their unique care requirements.

Ongoing Health

Otis's tail was recently removed to end recurring infections, and he has healed well. He has dry eye and requires eye drops, though he is currently reluctant to accept them. He is also a bit hard of hearing but can definitely hear a treat wrapper!

Training & Support

Otis can be a bit stubborn, especially at the vet. He is working on cooperative care, such as cleaning his folds and applying nose butter, and will need an adopter to continue this work at his pace to build his trust and comfort.
