About Liliana

Meet Liliana!

If you're a Labrador Retriever fan but don't have the capacity for a full-size Lab, look no further than the lovely Liliana. Weighing in at 38 pounds at 9 months old, Liliana is like a pocket version of a Lab with all the lovability at less than half the size. Rescued from a hoarder situation with 90 other dogs, Liliana comes with a few differences to navigate. Despite her tragic start, this sweet, resilient girl is so full of love and affection for everyone in her foster family (both human and dog) as well as everyone she has come in contact with. Liliana is initially a little timid when meeting new friends, but warms up within minutes with reassurance from her trusted people. Because of her background, Liliana is not a fan of being crated. She can be crated and does not bark or bite, but she will look at you like you've just betrayed her trust forever.

Ideal Home

Liliana loves to be wherever her humans are and thoroughly enjoys backyard time and walks/hikes. She is fantastic with children and would likely do well in a home with other dogs. She has not been cat tested, but does not appear to have a strong prey drive.

Ongoing Health

No ongoing health concerns were mentioned.

Training & Support

Since Liliana received no training in her youth, she still acts like a puppy in some ways. Her foster family has worked with her on training, but she still chews things she is not supposed to, criss-crosses while walking on the leash, gently play bites, jumps when she is excited, and loves to lick. She has learned "sit," "stay," "leave it," and "drop it." Her foster family is also currently working on leash manners and the "place" command. Liliana cannot be let outside a fenced yard without a leash.
