Chip The Champion

Chip is a handsome, happy, and sweet German Shepherd mix who is about 1.5 years old and weighs around 75lbs. He's neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and on preventatives while undergoing slow-kill heartworm treatment. Chip is doing wonderfully in his foster home with his three dog friends, demonstrating house-training, great car riding skills, and mastery of the doggie door. He knows "Sit" and is learning "Paw." Chip is good with kids, adults, and other dogs, and he absolutely loves toys and playing. While he can be a little reactive to men, he enjoys meeting new people when he's out and about. He is protective inside the home, and his foster mom is actively working on this by having new people come over to greet him. Chip has a great appetite and has never met a treat he didn't like, showing no food aggression. He's an all-around sweet boy who enjoys a good walk and is improving his leash manners.

Ideal Home

A home that can provide consistent training and socialization opportunities would be ideal for Chip. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is good with kids and adults.

Ongoing Health

Chip is currently undergoing slow-kill heartworm treatment. He is also on preventatives.

Training & Support

Chip is working on his reactivity to men and his protectiveness inside the home. He is also mastering his leash manners. His foster is working on redirecting his chewing on toys, shoes, and rugs.
