Appelonia "Apple"

Appelonia, known to us as "Apple," is a wonderfully sweet senior girl who came to us from a hoarding situation. Because of her past, she really thrives on canine companionship and is learning to trust humans. She's great on walks, respects the furniture, and is working with her foster on building trust with a crate. She is also house-trained! Most importantly, Apple is truly a sweetheart. She can be a bit anxious and skittish with loud noises but is improving with the help of a dog counselor. Apple would do best in a home with a confident person who can make her feel safe and encourage her to grow and overcome her fears. A walking dog buddy would also be beneficial for her, so playdates and being together would be great.

Ideal Home

Apple would do best as the only dog in the home. While she likes other dogs, she needs a large space like a yard to feel comfortable interacting with them. She needs a confident person who can help her feel safe and encourage her growth.

Ongoing Health

Apple has been experiencing sporadic leaking every 3-4 weeks. She is currently being trialed on Incurin, and a specialist recommended this treatment. We are continuing to learn more about this.

Training & Support

Apple is working on building trust with a crate. She can be a bit anxious and skittish with loud noises but is improving with the help of a dog counselor. She would benefit from a confident owner and potentially a dog buddy for walks or playdates.
