Journey is a handsome 3.5-year-old neutered male husky with striking black and white markings. Weighing between 45-50lbs, this adventurous boy has a truly remarkable rescue story! He was famously found during a hurricane in Houston, swimming towards shore after being abandoned. Since that harrowing experience a year and a half ago, Journey has discovered the joys of a loving home and is thriving in his foster care. He's a social butterfly, enjoying the company of most medium to large female dogs and many male dogs. While he has a slight preference against one particular red husky, he generally gets along well with other male dogs. Journey would be a fantastic addition to a family with school-aged children, a couple, or even a single person who can include him in their daily life and adventures. He's a water enthusiast and a happy traveler, showing no anxiety during car rides.
Ideal Home
Journey would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run and play. He is not suited for apartment living.
Ongoing Health
Journey is up to date on all his vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and is on monthly preventions. He is microchipped and has been neutered.
Training & Support
Journey knows his basic commands but is not yet off-leash trained. He needs a home with a fenced yard, and tie-outs or electric fences are not suitable for him.
