Winy

Winy is a charming and intelligent 1-year-old male Labrador Creole mix, weighing approximately 30 lbs. He was rescued in March 2024 and is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico. Winy is a very loving, obedient, and playful dog who is sociable with people, children, and other dogs. While he may be a bit shy when first meeting new people, he quickly melts into your arms with a little affection. He loves to play, go for walks, and run, and he truly enjoys receiving attention. Winy is also described as affectionate, docile, loyal, and joyful. He is crate and leash trained. Winy and his six siblings were found in a field when they were just born, and he's come a long way since then!

Ideal Home

Winy would thrive in a home with owners who have a fenced backyard and are active families that enjoy outdoor activities. Adopters should have an open mind and understanding of the needs of rescued animals, including their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, as is a high level of patience and tolerance for rescued puppies. Potential adopters must understand that rescued animals are not always house-trained.

Ongoing Health

Winy has completed a comprehensive health protocol including: Spay/Neuter Certificate, 2 DHPPI Vaccine shots, Rabies Vaccine, Bordetella Vaccine, Deworming, Microchipping, a 4DX Test and Certificate, a Negative Heartworm Test Certificate, and monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection (fleas, ticks, and heartworm). He also has a Health Certificate and a Vaccines booklet.

Training & Support

Winy is crate and leash trained. However, it's important to note that rescued pets often require ongoing support with house training. Adopters should be prepared for this as part of the rehabilitation process.

• A virtual meet and greet will be arranged.
• A trial adoption period will be offered.

Transporation

Winy is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast on our next cross-country trip. Transport to the adopter's home address is available for an additional fee.
