Bruiser

Meet Bruiser, a strapping 7-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever who's ready for his forever home! This 89-pound gentleman is packed with loyalty, intelligence, and affection. Bruiser is adventurous and energetic - he'll be your companion for whatever comes next, whether that's a hike through the woods or a relaxing evening at home. This gentle boy has so much goodness to give - he just needs the right person to help him shine. Life at the shelter can be a little overwhelming for Bruiser, and he sometimes struggles with stress and anxiety in his kennel. But once he's outside, you'll see the real Bruiser - calm, affectionate, and eager to connect. Bruiser is currently in a foster home, but he's still living a similar kennel life to when he was at our shelter.

Ideal Home

Bruiser would do best in a home without kids or other pets, where he can have plenty of walks, consistency, and love. He's looking for a patient, understanding adopter who can help him continue to grow.

Ongoing Health

Bruiser is currently on some anxiety medication and a special diet for allergies to help him feel his best, and he's doing great with both.

Training & Support

Bruiser knows how to sit, shake, high-five, and has a fun little trick of catching treats mid-air! He is also able to politely grab a treat from your hand. Bruiser will turn on a dime and come right back to your feet when called on-leash. He's housebroken and well-mannered. He's working on managing his excitement, especially in busy environments.
