Chester is a sweet, gentle boy with a heart full of love. He is looking for a patient family that will help him navigate the world at his own pace and continue building his confidence. Chester has not had much experience with new people, places, and experiences, so unfamiliar situations can make him nervous. He appreciates a calm approach and enjoys having the time and space to get comfortable. Once he begins to trust, his affectionate and loving personality shines through. Because he can be fearful in new situations, we are recommending that any children in his new home be 10 years old or older, who can respect his space and help him build confidence. Chester may do well with another calm, respectful dog with slow and proper introductions. Chester has shown a prey drive toward small animals and poultry and will require a home with no cats or livestock. This sweet boy is looking for a family that will give him the patience, understanding, and support he needs to thrive.
