Meet JJ! This gentle, big-hearted senior was surrendered to the shelter after spending her entire 9-year life chained outside. A kind family gave her a safe place to land, but they couldn't keep her. Now, JJ is hoping to finally experience the love and comfort of a forever home. Volunteers describe her as calm, quiet, and incredibly sweet. Ideal Home

JJ would likely do best in a home where she can experience the love and comfort she's always deserved. As she is a senior dog, a calm and loving environment would be ideal.

Ongoing Health

JJ tested positive for heartworms, but with proper treatment and care, she can enjoy her golden years. Please speak with shelter staff about the option of fostering to adopt while she receives treatment. She is up-to-date on vaccines and has been microchipped. She may not be spayed at the shelter due to age; please inquire with shelter staff.

Training & Support

As JJ spent her life chained outside, she may need some time and patience to adjust to indoor living and any new routines. Information on her behavior with children or other pets is not known, as she came in as a lost animal.
