Roux is a handsome 3-year-old, 75lb American Bulldog mix with a striking brindle and white coat. He's a social and affectionate boy who adores people and thrives on connection. While he can be a bit hesitant and may bark initially when meeting new men, he warms up quickly and becomes incredibly loving. He's also great with women and children. Roux enjoys doggy daycare once a week to maintain his social skills and does wonderfully there. He's house-trained and crate-trained, and he rides well in the car, especially when secured in a kennel. He walks nicely on a leash and isn't reactive to people or other dogs, making your outings enjoyable. Roux has a medium-to-high energy level and loves to get the zoomies, so a home with a yard would be ideal for him to play and stretch his legs. He previously experienced anxiety and some destructiveness when he was first rescued, but with the help of a trainer, he's made amazing progress and is no longer destructive, showing incredible resilience and confidence.
Ideal Home
Roux would thrive in a home with a yard where he can run and play. He is not a match for homes with cats.
Ongoing Health
Roux is neutered and healthy. He has overcome past anxiety that led to destructiveness, but with training, he has made incredible strides and is no longer destructive.
Training & Support
Roux is house-trained and crate-trained. While he's no longer destructive, it's noted that he previously struggled with anxiety and destructiveness, which he has worked through with a trainer. He can be a little hesitant and may bark at men initially but warms up quickly.

Transporation
This dog is currently located in Tennessee. He will travel to the Niagara Region once an appropriate adopter or local foster is found. Meet & greets for dogs in Ontario will only be arranged once an adoption application is approved.
