Pasta-tively adorable! Rigatoni is an energetic guy who knows how to have fun! He loves to play and goof around, but he's also a fan of cuddling on the couch and is definitely a lap dog! His foster mom says he's a great communicator and knows how to express himself, but don't worry, he's not much of a barker. He's soft spoken and usually huffs and puffs instead.
Rigatoni is the whole package! He is house trained, crate trained, well-behaved for grooming, and knows a few commands. When hiking, he stays on the trail with his people. He loves training and is super food motivated, so you can teach him more tricks and fun things. He is a little shy and needs time to meet new people.
Rigatoni loves to play with other dogs and has lived with dogs before, sharing a yard with the neighbor's dogs. He loves other dogs so much that when he can't go say hi, he will sometimes pull and yelp. He's working on his leash skills but will need some help from his new family. When he sees cats on walks, he tries to chase them.
He hasn't been around children very much. They seem like they might be fun, but he does jump when he gets excited.
Ideal Home
Rigatoni would do best in a home where he's not left alone for long periods. He's happiest when he's with his family and would do best with dog siblings to play with or a human who can give him lots of walks and play sessions. A home without any cats would be best, and a home with only adults or older kids would be ideal.
Ongoing Health
No ongoing health concerns mentioned.
Training & Support
Rigatoni is still working on his leash skills and can sometimes pull and yelp when he sees other dogs he wants to greet. He is a little shy and needs time to meet new people. He is very food motivated and loves training, so he should continue to learn quickly.
