Otis

Otis is a special dog whose journey from severe emaciation to a healthy, happy companion is truly inspiring. When he first arrived, he was so underweight that he was placed on the euthanasia list, but a rescue stepped in. Despite his hardship, Otis remained kind, loving, and trusting of people. He has since gained significant weight on a carefully managed refeeding plan and continues to get stronger every day. This sweet boy has blossomed into the energetic and joyful dog he was always meant to be, eager to play, explore, and be by his people's side. Everyone who meets Otis falls in love with him, with volunteers already considering "foster failing" due to his wonderful nature. He loves every person he meets, is great with other dogs, and is respectful of cats. Otis is affectionate, people-oriented, and melts into you when you pet him, greeting each new day with excitement. He's ready for a family who will love him as deeply as he will love them.

Ideal Home

Otis will thrive with an active family who can provide daily exercise, continued training, and plenty of companionship. He loves being with his people, so a home where someone is around most of the time or where he won't be left alone for long workdays on a regular basis would be ideal.
