Mavis was born around February 2024 and has a gentle, friendly spirit. She spent the early part of her life with a kind elderly woman, but when her owner was evicted, Mavis found herself needing a new beginning. Despite this upheaval, she has remained sweet and loving towards people. Mavis enjoys attention and being close to her humans, and her true personality shines once she feels comfortable. She can be a bit reserved around new dogs initially, which means she might do best as the only dog in the home, receiving all the love and attention. Alternatively, she could live with another dog if introductions are handled slowly, thoughtfully, and with guidance from an experienced person. Mavis has recently learned to walk on a leash and use a crate, and she's doing wonderfully with both. She just needs a patient owner and a calm environment to feel secure as she adjusts. Mavis is the type of dog whose bond deepens over time, starting out cautiously before becoming a loyal and devoted companion who adores her person.
