A little about them

Solomon is a handsome, affectionate Great Pyrenees with badger markings, a playful spirit, and a gentle, calm nature. This 2-year-old boy weighs about 90 pounds and is eager to please. He enjoys attention, brushing, belly rubs, his Grumpy Gnome toy, and curling up on the couch when invited.

Ideal Home

Solomon needs a secure yard with a 6-foot fence. Because he may chase deer, coyotes, squirrels, or birds and could climb over a fence when driven by instinct, he may need adult supervision outdoors. He has integrated successfully with three foster dogs after careful introductions. His compatibility with cats has not been tested.

Ongoing Health

Solomon received a full veterinary workup after being found as a stray. He tested positive for Lyme disease and completed a 30-day treatment course. He has been neutered and is vaccinated.

Training & Support

Solomon is house trained and cooperative for handling, including collar and leash placement and nail trims. He is learning leash manners, “leave it,” and “with me,” and will benefit from a consistent exercise routine, daily reinforcement, patience, and high-value treats. He is easily distracted by wildlife and may bark at unfamiliar people until he understands they are friends.
