He's described as laid-back for his breed, but he does have a lot of love to give and will let you know when he wants attention!

Ideal Home

Denver would thrive in a home that has cattle dog experience or is looking for a devoted, constant companion. He would do best as the only pet in the household, as he is selective with other dogs and not a good match for cats.

Denver is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. He has a history of coccidioidomycosis which has been treated, but he may experience occasional swelling or limping in his left front leg.

Training & Support

Denver is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash with verbal correction, and knows basic commands. He is very food motivated and eager to please, making him easy to train. While he is generally well-behaved, he does have a tendency to bark at the door excessively and can be reactive towards other dogs, wanting to control the situation. Consistent training and correction will help him manage these behaviors. He also exhibits guarding issues with humans, toys, and food, though he has no bite history.
