Bailey

My name is Bailey, and I'm an approximately 5-year-old Akita mix with a heart full of hope. I was found as a stray and, unfortunately, had to learn to fend for myself. My journey led me to a rescue where I'm working hard on my resource guarding, a habit from my past. Despite my challenges, I'm eager to trust again and believe I can be a loyal and protective companion. I just need a chance to show you my true self.

Ideal Home

I need a breed-specific adopter who can understand my past and help me build confidence. I would do best in a home with no other pets, as I'm still learning to navigate social situations. A potential foster-to-adopt situation with a trial period would be ideal to ensure we're a good match.

Ongoing Health

I am up-to-date on my vaccines, spayed, and heartworm negative.

Training & Support

I am currently working on my resource guarding and am showing great improvement with the guidance of my caretakers. Patience and understanding will be key to helping me continue to grow and feel secure.
