Meyer

Meyer, estimated to be 10 years old, is a kind-hearted, gentle giant who wins people over everywhere he goes. He entered the shelter as a stray and is now looking for his forever family. Meyer is very friendly and does well in play groups with other dogs. He was such a sweet, well-behaved boy during his Frosted Fling that he was upgraded to a foster home where he'll stay until he finds his forever family!

Ideal Home

Meyer would do best in a home without stairs due to some weakness in his hind legs. He currently needs assistance getting into a standard sedan and would likely require a ramp or help getting into taller vehicles.

Ongoing Health

Meyer is continuing his weight-loss journey, which should help improve his mobility and overall comfort.

Training & Support

On leash, Meyer can be a little enthusiastic and tends to zig-zag and pull at times, but he's making progress and responds well to guidance. He enjoys playtime but isn't obsessed with it; he'll happily fetch a ball a few times before deciding he'd rather relax and chew on it for a few minutes. Meyer has also shown excellent manners in public and is incredibly gentle, happily sharing his toys with no possessiveness.
