BRIGHTON

Brighton is a delightful approximately 2-year-old, 11-pound Maltese mix who has overcome incredible adversity. He arrived at a local shelter with a shattered right front leg due to gunshot wounds, which sadly required amputation. But don't let that fool you – Brighton is a true trooper and has adapted wonderfully to life as a tripod! He navigates his world with impressive agility, easily hopping into cars and onto the couch. He is his foster mom's shadow, following her everywhere and cherishing lap time. At night, he sleeps soundly on her bed. While he gets along with other dogs, he's not one for rough play, and he seems to ignore the foster cats. Brighton is house-trained and walks well on a leash. This sweet boy is looking for a loving home where he can receive plenty of TLC.

Ideal Home

Brighton would thrive in a home where he can continue to receive lots of love and attention. He is not suitable for a home with children under 8 years old, and his new family should be experienced dog owners.

Ongoing Health

Brighton's leg was amputated due to his injuries. He is up-to-date on all vaccinations and boosters, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

Training & Support

Brighton is house-trained and walks well on a leash. He is a quick learner and a devoted companion.
