We think she might be a Shepherd-Pitty mix, but with rescue, it's always a guess, but one thing is certain: she's one of the sweetest girls you will ever meet. Layla is a little shy at first and takes her time warming up to new people. But once she trusts someone, her tail wags, her eyes sparkle, and she showers that person with quiet, devoted affection. Her foster has proven that with a little patience and love, Layla will absolutely learn to trust and adore her humans. She's a gentle soul, the kind of dog who will curl up next to you, soak up pets, and quietly remind you that love doesn't always need words. Layla is an absolute doggy superstar; her tail wags the second she sees her four-legged friends, and she thrives when she has a dog companion to hang out with. She's social, friendly, and polite, happily spending hours snuggling, chilling, or just walking side-by-side with her doggy buddy. She's not looking for a playmate for zoomies, she's looking for a bestie for life. Layla is also cat-tolerant, giving kitties her polite bubble of space while still coexisting peacefully. If your kitty minds their business, Layla will do the same! When it comes to kids, she'd probably do best with older children around 8 and up because of her sensitivity to new people and touch. • The adoption fee is $900, which includes vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectable, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high-quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, and the cost of transport*).
• There is an $87 surcharge for transportation due to rising costs.

Transporation

We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick-up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You can track your pet's journey in real time and receive photo updates. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
