Meet Sussy, your future adventure buddy! Sussy is an approximately 3-year-old, 60-pound Labrador mix who was rescued from the streets of Houston, Texas. She's a happy, smiling girl with a joyful and loving personality. Sussy is incredibly loyal, polite, and intelligent, and she forms strong bonds with her people. If you're looking for a playful, energetic, and athletic companion for all your outdoor activities like hiking, running, camping, or long walks, Sussy is the dog for you! She's already crate trained, walks nicely on a leash, and is a wonderful car rider, making her an easy addition to your life and adventures. Sussy is ready to give you endless smiles, unwavering loyalty, and a lifetime of unforgettable memories in return for a loving home.

Ideal Home

An active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard would be ideal for Sussy. She also thrives with families who have an open mind about the needs of rescued animals and are experienced with dog behavior and training. Patience and understanding for rescued puppies are a must.

Ongoing Health

Sussy has been spayed, vaccinated for DHPPI, rabies, and bordetella, and dewormed. She has also tested negative for heartworm and comes with a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

Sussy is not yet house-trained, which will require patience and consistent training from her new family. The rescue team acknowledges that due to the high number of foster pets, they are unable to provide house-training for each animal.

• Undergo a home check (virtual or in-person).
• Attend a virtual meet-and-greet with Sussy and her foster.
• Engage in a trial adoption period with ongoing communication.

Transportation

Sussy is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. Transport to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest is available for an additional fee of $400, which is paid by the adopter prior to the pet's departure.
