Junior Bear the Tongue Out Sweetheart

Junior Bear is a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees and Lab mix who looks like a sweet, shy grandpa bear with a permanently happy, tongue-out expression. He was found in rough shape but is now blossoming into a handsome, cuddly gentleman. Junior is a gentle soul who takes his time to warm up to new people and environments. He needs a patient adopter who will speak softly to him, let him approach on his own terms, and celebrate his slow progress. Once he trusts you, he becomes incredibly affectionate and rewarding.

Ideal Home

Junior would thrive in a home with a lower to medium energy, respectful dog who will give him space and won't overwhelm him socially. He has also shown to be respectful of cats. A home with a small yard would be beneficial for him to build confidence.

Ongoing Health

Junior is up to date on all vetting, including vaccinations, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Junior is crate trained and walks well on a leash with gentle guidance. He can become uncomfortable with too much touch too quickly, so patience and calm energy are key.

Junior is located in Texas and can be transported nationwide via our rescue run USDA certified transport system. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT).
