Monchi

Monchi is a charming 9-month-old Chihuahua mix, weighing about 13 lbs, with a playful and affectionate spirit. He's a "sato" from Puerto Rico, which means he's had a big adventure to get here and will need a patient and understanding human to help him continue his journey. Monchi loves to play hide-and-seek with his ball and enjoys both cuddle time and energetic zoomies. He's already shown great progress with leash walking and basic commands, and he's comfortable in his crate overnight and when left alone. His foster parent describes him as happy, confident, and friendly, approaching life with curiosity and enthusiasm.

Ideal Home

Monchi would thrive in a home that can provide him with plenty of opportunities for socialization and continued training. A home with a resident dog or a family that can commit to regular dog park visits, daycare, or walks with other dogs would be ideal to help him learn the ropes.

Ongoing Health

Monchi is up-to-date on routine vetting, including vaccinations. As a dog from Puerto Rico, he has had a significant transition and will benefit from ongoing socialization efforts.

Training & Support

Monchi is learning basic commands and walks well on leash, especially when he has another dog to follow. He is crate trained and settles well when left alone. Continued training and regular exercise will help him continue to grow into the bestest boy.
