Mavis was born around February 2024 and spent the first few months of her life in a remote farmhouse with an elderly woman who loved her dearly. Unfortunately, when her owner was evicted, Mavis found herself in need of a new beginning. Despite the upheaval, she has remained a gentle and friendly girl with people. Mavis thrives on attention and enjoys being close to her humans, displaying a sweet personality once she feels comfortable. She can be a bit reserved around unfamiliar dogs initially, which might make her an ideal candidate for a home where she can be the sole canine companion, soaking up all the love. She could also do well with another dog if introductions are managed slowly, thoughtfully, and with experienced guidance. Mavis has recently learned to walk on a leash and to be comfortable in a crate, and she's doing wonderfully with both. Like many dogs experiencing significant changes, she just needs a patient and calm environment to feel secure. Mavis is the type of dog whose bond deepens and strengthens over time, starting out a little cautious before blossoming into a loyal and loving companion who adores her person. She is a beautiful girl with a kind heart, deserving of a safe and loving forever home. If you believe that the most meaningful friendships are the ones that grow gradually and last a lifetime, Mavis could be the perfect match for you.
