Thorn

Thorn is a sweet 16-week-old, 20-pound pup who came to us from southwest Virginia. She's a bit shy and would absolutely blossom with a confident canine companion to show her the ropes. Thorn has been a dream to handle during nail trims and has shown no interest in the resident cats. Plus, she's a pro in the car! We estimate she'll grow to be between 50-60 pounds.

Thorn would thrive in a home with another dog who can help build her confidence.

Ongoing Health

Thorn is up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, and is on monthly preventatives. Her adoption fee covers the cost of age-appropriate core vaccinations, microchip, and required spay when age-appropriate. Spay/Neuter will be scheduled when age-appropriate and is covered in the adoption fee. Adopters must be within a reasonable distance of Richmond or Virginia Beach to complete spay/neuter with our approved clinics.

Training & Support

We require that all adopters, regardless of the dog's age, are committed to ongoing training and socialization as part of responsible ownership.

• We conduct a vet reference check (all resident dogs must be altered/up to date on DHPP/rabies and monthly preventatives, and cats must be altered and up to date on rabies).
• We conduct a virtual home visit call where we discuss the adoption process and see your home.
