Oakley

Oakley is a 54lb bundle of fun, confidence, and friendliness! He's a classic "guy's guy" who has been patiently waiting for his perfect adventure buddy. Oakley is a remarkably neutral and nonchalant dude, often used for introductions with new dogs and joining pack walks. He stays calm in his kennel, even next to the most boisterous neighbors. He walks beautifully on a leash and harness, and every week he gets to explore with his favorite volunteer. Oakley is made for hiking, long walks, and with some training, he could even be a biking companion!

Training & Support

Oakley can sometimes exhibit playful puppy behaviors, particularly enjoying tugging and chewing on rope toys, leashes, and even clothing. He's working on not playing tug with his leashes, and we've switched him to a chain leash. We always carry a rope toy on walks to redirect his playful energy. Basic manner training will help him succeed.
