Maggie Flowers is a spirited and joyful 6-year-old pittie mix, weighing around 50lbs, who lives life to the fullest! She approaches every day as a grand adventure, whether it's a simple walk, a game of fetch, or just rolling in the grass for her signature "happy dance." Her foster parent calls her a "ray of sunshine," and it's easy to see why. Maggie finds immense joy in everything she does, especially exploring the outdoors. She loves to play fetch, chase squirrels (with great detective skills!), and investigate every rustle in the bushes. But don't let her energetic spirit fool you – after a day of play, Maggie is just as happy to snuggle up on the couch or in bed with her favorite people. She's affectionate, loves to cuddle, and truly wants to be an integral part of the family. When it comes to toys, Nerf footballs are her favorite, and she's also a strong swimmer who loves water adventures.
Ideal Home
Maggie would do best as the only dog in the home, as she's happiest when she can focus her attention on her people rather than interacting closely with other dogs. Cats are also not a good fit for her, as they are too tempting to chase. She thrives in a home with a fenced yard and an active family who wants to include her in their everyday lives, joining them on walks, playing fetch, and splashing in the water.
Ongoing Health
Maggie is a healthy and happy girl.
Training & Support
Maggie is an incredibly smart girl who already knows commands such as sit, down, wait, "go to your bed," and "in" for her crate. She is potty trained, crate trained, and walks nicely on leash. She has also learned excellent manners, like waiting at open doors until given permission to pass. While she can get overly excited and jump up to greet new people, with continued consistency and training, she will continue to improve.
