Miranda

Miranda is an approximately 1 year and 9 month-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix weighing about 46 pounds. She's a sweet, energetic, and protective girl who forms strong bonds with her people. Miranda is also crate trained, house trained, and walks well on a leash. She gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, children, men, and women. While she's loving and social, Miranda can be a bit shy in new situations and may need some time to warm up. She was rescued after being found wandering the streets of Houston and has a heartwarming story of being cared for by kind strangers. Now, Miranda is ready to find a stable and loving forever home where she can share her affection and companionship.

Ideal Home

A family that enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard would be ideal for Miranda. She also thrives with owners who understand the needs of rescued street animals, have experience with dog behavior and training, and possess high tolerance and patience for a rescued pup.

Ongoing Health

Miranda has received her spay/neuter, DHPPI vaccine, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. She also has a heartworm test certificate and a health certificate, along with a vaccine booklet.

Training & Support

Miranda is already crate and house trained and walks well on a leash. She may bark if she senses something is wrong or feels threatened, which is part of her protective nature. Potential adopters should be prepared for her initial nervousness in new situations and provide her with the time and understanding she needs to feel fully comfortable.

Transportation

Miranda is currently being fostered in Houston, Texas. She is available to travel to the East Coast and the Pacific Northwest if adopted. A transport fee of $400.00, paid by the adopter prior to departure, will be required for this service.
