Buddy the Coonhound

Meet Buddy, a handsome 5-year-old Coonhound mix who is as sweet as he is stunning! Weighing in at 64 lbs of lean, huggable muscle, Buddy boasts a beautiful white coat with a gorgeous ticking pattern. His charming face features warm brown eyes surrounded by lovely brown patches that highlight his ever-present smile. Buddy's personality is as easy-going and happy as he looks. He adores playing and going for walks, and with his high energy, he'll need a fenced-in yard to explore. Buddy gets along wonderfully with children and other dogs, and would likely enjoy having an active canine companion to pal around with.

Ideal Home

Buddy would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can safely explore his love for sniffing and playing. He is great with kids and would likely do well with another active dog. However, due to his strong prey drive and tendency to chase cats and backyard critters, he cannot be placed in a home with cats.

Ongoing Health

Buddy is a healthy boy with no known health conditions.

Training & Support

Buddy is already housetrained and has great manners. He can be a strong leash walker due to his keen interest in his surroundings, but with exercise and time, his leash manners will continue to improve.

Transportation

Buddy is currently located at our shelter. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes.
