Meet Bodie Girl, a delightful Boxer x Lab mix who's estimated to be born around February 3rd, 2026, and weighed 26lbs as of June 3rd, 2026. Bodie's story began in a place no dog should ever have to call home; she was found starving and alone inside a drainage pipe in Sunnyside, Houston, doing everything she could to survive. While her past is heartbreaking, Bodie hasn't let it define her. Instead, she greets each day with a wagging tail, a hopeful heart, and so much love to give. Her finder assumed she was male and called her Bodie instantly, and it has stuck since she likes it! Bodie is the perfect medium-sized companion. She's small enough to fit comfortably into almost any home, but her personality is larger than life. She absolutely adores people and soaks up affection every chance she gets. If you're looking for a dog who will happily curl up beside you after a long day and remind you what unconditional love feels like, Bodie is your girl! Being such a great size and temperament, she accompanied the rescue's founder to represent all of our adoptable dogs on TV, where our story got shared on the news! She was absolutely perfectly well-behaved there. She loves car rides, gets excited for adventures, and would never turn down a trip for a pup cup. Bodie is also dog-friendly and enjoys playing with her canine friends, making her a great addition to a home with another playful pup. Bodie is kennel trained and continuing to make progress with her potty training as she settles into the routine of living in a home. Like so many rescue dogs, she's learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. What makes Bodie truly special isn't just what she's survived... it's the fact that after everything she's endured, she still chooses love. She still trusts. She still hopes. And every day she waits for someone to see the incredible dog she's become. Bodie has spent enough of her life wondering where her next meal would come from and whether she'd make it through another day. Ongoing Health

Bodie is vaccinated with age-appropriate vaccines and is microchipped. An alteration contract needs to be signed by the adopter to complete the adoption.

Training & Support

Bodie is kennel and potty training in progress. She is learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. Adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.

Transporation

Bodie is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included in the adoption fee and can be coordinated to various locations in Eastern, Western, and neighboring states. Adopters will be able to track their dog's transport via the Life360 app or Facebook chats.
