Greta is a sweet and gentle Labrador Mix girl, approximately 7 years old and weighing around 66 lbs. She has a loving heart and is well-mannered at home, being both house-trained and crate-trained. When Greta first meets new people, she can be a bit shy and fearful, needing patience and kindness to feel safe. Once she gains confidence, her true personality shines through – she becomes super friendly, adores having her head petted, and will often offer her paw as a sweet thank you. Greta is an active dog who enjoys running and moving around, and she would love a family that understands her need for both gentle reassurance and regular exercise. It's important to understand that rescued dogs like Greta may have experienced trauma and may require an adjustment period. Patience, a safe and loving environment, and a consistent routine will help her build trust and strengthen your bond.
Ideal Home
A calm and peaceful home with a fenced backyard. Greta would do best with an active family that enjoys outdoor activities and has experience with dog behavior and training, or is willing to hire a trainer. Families with a genuine intention to rescue and an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals are preferred. High tolerance and patience are essential.
Ongoing Health
Greta has received a comprehensive health protocol including: Spay/Neuter Certificate, 2 DHPPI Vaccine shots, Rabies Vaccine, Bordetella Vaccine, Deworming, Microchip, 4DX Test and Certificate, Heartworm test Negative Certificate, Monthly Preventive Protection Nexgard Spectra (fleas, ticks and heartworm), and a Health Certificate with Vaccines booklet.
Training & Support
Greta is house-trained and crate-trained. However, it is noted that rescued dogs may not be potty trained. She will require patience and understanding as she adjusts to her new environment. Owners with experience in dog behavior and training are preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer is expected.
