Rosco

Rosco is a smart, playful, and loving four-legged companion who is ready to find his furever home! He enjoys daily walks and would love to have a jogging partner in the future. Rosco has had a difficult start to life and needs a family that can offer him calm leadership, consistent training, and clear boundaries. Despite his past, Rosco is a resilient dog who trusts and is eager to move forward with the right guidance. He's a brilliant dog who will test limits, so a structured environment is key to his success.

Ideal Home

Rosco is an active dog but needs to avoid strenuous exercise until he completes his heartworm treatment and heals from his injuries. Due to a high prey drive, a home with small pets such as cats, chickens, birds, or rabbits is not recommended.

Ongoing Health

Rosco is currently undergoing treatment for heartworms and is healing from significant injuries, including a severe muzzle injury, a slight separation of his left front shoulder, and soft tissue injuries. Paws Animal Rescue will be responsible for his extensive veterinary bills.

Training & Support

Rosco is crate trained but needs further work on house training. He thrives with clear rules, boundaries, and limitations, benefiting from calm leadership and consistent training to help him succeed.
