Sweet Sandy is a happy, friendly, and spunky Shepherd mix who is about 6 years old and weighs around 50lbs. She has an adorably unique underbite smile and is overdue for her own forever home after being moved around quite a bit. Her caretakers describe her as a wonderful dog with a joyful spirit. Sandy is the perfect mix of playful and well-mannered. She loves going on walks, hikes, and any outdoor adventures, and is a big fan of water! She walks well on a leash, knows some basic commands, and has a friendly, easygoing demeanor that makes her a joy to be around. Sandy has also done well with other dogs in our care and will be your loyal and lively sidekick, ready to bring fun and plenty of tail wags to her new home. She is a very quiet girl, and with a little training, she could be a great office dog companion. Sandy is fully house and crate trained and can stay home for a reasonable amount of hours. She is very wiggly and silly, so she may accidentally knock down young children.
Ideal Home
Sandy would thrive in an active home that enjoys outdoor adventures like walks and hikes. She loves water and would be happy to splash around. She gets along with friendly, playful, and polite medium-sized dogs, so play dates would be great, though she does not need another dog in the home. She plays too rough with small dogs and does not like cats, so no small animals in the home, please. Sandy may accidentally knock down young children due to her wiggly and silly nature, so her new home must have children over 12 years old. A 5ft or higher, securely fenced yard is best for Sandy.
