Meet Flacko! He's an 8-month-old, 40lb male German Shepherd Dog mix who is a certified good boy and an energetic pup. Flacko absolutely adores people and enjoys the company of other dogs. He's also made an effort to befriend the foster cat, though his enthusiasm might be a bit much for some felines. Flacko is a quick learner who is eager to please his people. He plays with dog friends of all sizes and is great at reading their cues and respecting their boundaries. He even got an A++ from Doggie Daycare Playgroups and enjoys snuggling with a smaller puppy friend. Flacko has been wonderful with his foster's 10-year-old nephew and would likely enjoy a human sibling to play with. He's currently working on his puppy manners, like jumping and leash pulling, so he'll need supervision around younger children. After playtime, Flacko loves to snuggle and will happily roll over for belly rubs. He's also a huge fan of pool time and entertaining himself with his favorite toys. Flacko is house and crate trained and is looking for an experienced adopter to help him navigate the world with confidence. He's ready to win your heart and grow into a loving member of your family!

Flacko would love a home with an experienced adopter who can help him gain confidence. He would likely enjoy a human sibling to play with. He may be too enthusiastic for some cats.

Flacko is working on his puppy manners, including not jumping and not pulling on the leash. He would need to be supervised around smaller children.

- Transports run every few weeks, and dogs will be on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time.
- We are a volunteer-run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. If you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please ensure you have spoken with them and they are on board.
