Why Hasn’t Gigi Been Adopted?

Sometimes the best dogs wait the longest — not because they aren’t wonderful, but because they’re waiting for the right home. After 3 years in rescue, we want to answer the question we hear the most: “Why hasn’t she been adopted yet?” Myth: Something must be wrong with her. Truth: Gigi is sweet, affectionate, loyal, and deeply bonded to her people.

Here’s who she really is:

• Cuddle Bug — She loves climbing on the couch and laying close to her person.
• Belly Rub Champion — Roll over = automatic request for love.
• Adventure Ready — Walk days are her favorite days.
• Playful — Loves chasing balls and sometimes brings them back for more.
• Loyal & Protective — She wants to keep her home safe (very normal for her breed mix).
• Smart & Observant — Once she learns someone belongs, she relaxes beautifully.

She lives with another dog now and does well with proper introductions and structure.

• Someone who wants a true companion
• A family who understands loyalty is a gift

Dogs like Gigi don’t love halfway. They love completely. And when she chooses you — you’ll know.

Training & Support

Gigi can be a bit protective, which is normal for her breed mix. She is smart and observant, and once she feels secure with her people, she relaxes beautifully.
