Meet Hercules! This sweet, loving, and affectionate Cattle Dog mix has been waiting a long time for his perfect match. Hercules is a true herding breed at heart, and he thrives with plenty of exercise and a daily purpose. While he's a wonderful dog, his time in the shelter has led to some anxiety, which was noted by a behavioral trainer. The trainer found him to be a great dog with no aggression, but he does have boundaries and triggers that need to be respected and handled with care. More than anything, Hercules needs an outlet for his energy.

Hercules would be happiest with an adopter who is experienced with herding breeds and understands how to support a dog with anxiety. An active family that can provide consistent daily exercise, a calm and reassuring environment, and respect his individuality and boundaries would be ideal.
