Keri

Keri is a sweet 8-year-old lady who came to us all the way from Kuwait. She had a rough start to life but was rescued and eventually made her way to us. Keri was adopted in 2020 but sadly lost her home through no fault of her own. She is a well-mannered and very lazy dog who could use a little help getting more active. She's carrying some extra weight, partly due to her thyroid and partly due to being overfed and under-exercised.

Ideal Home

Keri would thrive with a moderately lazy owner who will ensure she gets a walk or two a day and is not overfed. She is generally good with dogs her own size but is not a fan of yippy little dogs. She would be happy with or without canine companions, as long as they don't bother her. Keri is not a cat dog. She is looking for a person to be her devoted companion, ideal for someone who prefers a quiet life and wants a dog that will be their shadow.

Ongoing Health

Keri has a thyroid condition that is managed. She is also significantly overweight and needs an owner committed to a healthy diet and exercise plan to help her reach her ideal weight of around 45 pounds.

Training & Support

Keri is exceedingly well-mannered and knows many commands. She is quiet and not the life of the party, preferring a relaxed evening watching true crime documentaries with her person.

Transporation

Keri is located at our rescue in West Virginia. We offer transport to approved adopters within a 500-mile radius.
