Cookie, an approximately 2-year-old, 50-pound Poodle, is a true gem searching for her forever home. She is, in a word, perfection! Cookie lives harmoniously with six dogs of various sizes, five cats, two teenage daughters, and even two horses, whom she respects greatly. She's also been socialized with toddlers and is fantastic with people of all ages, including the mail carrier! Cookie is crate-trained and house-trained, and she's a dream at the groomer's, both professionally and for at-home care. She enjoys car rides, is not a chewer, and has a wonderfully gentle mouth, making her an expert treat-taker. Cookie has a healthy appetite and has gained much-needed weight. She has excellent house manners, so your belongings are safe. She sleeps soundly, often in bed with her people. While she potties on a lead and isn't in a fenced yard, she shows solid potential for recall training. Cookie has a consistently happy and joyful temperament; she has never been heard to growl or shown any unhappiness. She's not a barker, except for brief alerts for deliveries. Cookie is incredibly adaptable, happy to snuggle on the couch for a TV marathon or join you for a walk, kayaking, or a hike. Her energy level is just right! She's an angel during vet visits, having undergone treatment for heartworms (she is now free of them!) and had a successful bilateral entropion repair surgery on her lower eyelids. Cookie’s personality is truly out of this world! She’s playful, funny, and will happily mimic your actions. She loves to chatter her teeth when she’s excited and is young at heart.
