About Snickers
Snickers is an adorable Chihuahua boy weighing about 7.7 lbs. He is social with dogs, children, men, and women, and he loves meeting new friends! This little guy is full of joy and energy. Snickers enjoys running, playing, and being part of the action. He is a small dog with a big personality and a loving heart. He is not a frequent barker and is happiest when he is surrounded by people and companionship. Snickers sleeps in an open crate at night and is comfortable going in and out on his own. He is still young and curious, so chewing is one of his favorite hobbies. His future family should be prepared to provide guidance and plenty of appropriate things to chew. Snickers was born in a home where his future was uncertain. As a tiny puppy, he was promised a secure life, but those plans quickly changed. When the puppies became older and required more care, they were neglected and sometimes left without food. Eventually, we stepped in to help ensure they would have the opportunity to find loving homes. Now Snickers is thriving and looking for a family that will love him for the rest of his life. He is ready to trade uncertainty for security, and he has so much love to give in return.
Ideal Home
A home with a fenced backyard, an active family that enjoys outdoor activities, and a family with the intention to truly rescue a dog, not just adopt. Families should have an open conscience about the needs of rescued animals and be willing to provide protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience for rescued puppies are a must.
Ongoing Health
Snickers has received comprehensive health protocol including: Spay/Neuter Certificate, 2 shots of DHPPI Vaccine, Rabies Vaccine, Bordetella Vaccine, Deworming, Microchip, 4DX Test and Certificate, Heartworm test Negative Certificate, Monthly Preventive Protection Nexgard Spectra (fleas, ticks and heartworm), Health Certificate, and Vaccines booklet.
Training & Support
Snickers is not house-trained and will require guidance and plenty of appropriate chew toys. Patience and understanding are crucial, as rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and need time to adapt to new environments. Establishing a routine and clear boundaries will help Snickers feel secure.
