About Mora

Meet Mora and Oona! These two truly special girls are looking for a family as extraordinary as they are. Born with a rare condition called Myotonia Congenita (sometimes known as "Fainting Goat Syndrome"), these resilient pups don't let their diagnosis slow them down. They love to play, cuddle, and spend time with their people just like any other dogs.

While they are not officially bonded, our team and their foster believe they would thrive if adopted together. If that isn't possible, each girl would do best in a home with another friendly, calm canine companion to help them continue building confidence. Oona and Mora are wonderful with other dogs and have learned to adapt beautifully to their daily routine. They eat smaller, more frequent meals with supervision, enjoy gentle exercise, and take Mexiletine three times a day to help manage their condition. They take their medication exceptionally well and continue to live happy, active lives. The best news is that Myotonia Congenita is not a progressive disease, and with proper management, dogs with this condition can enjoy long, fulfilling lives.
