Meet Ritz - Ready for His Forever Home!

Ritz is a sweet 9-month-old pup who has been in our care for over three months, patiently waiting for his forever home. He's a petite "mini-pittie" weighing around 30 lbs, but don't let his size fool you – he has a big personality and an even bigger heart! One of his most endearing habits is tapping his front feet when he gets excited, and he absolutely loves to cuddle, especially with his foster dog friends at bedtime. He's a fun and goofy companion who thrives on affection.

Ideal Home

Ritz would do best in a cat-free home, as felines are a bit too interesting for him. He also needs a home with children over 13, as he can exhibit excitement-based behaviors like mouthing pant legs or sleeves, which could be misinterpreted by younger children. He currently lives successfully with medium-to-large dogs and prefers calmer canine companions or those with a lower play style.

Training & Support

Ritz is food-motivated and already knows how to sit for treats. He also eats his meals in his crate and settles nicely for cuddle time. He sleeps well through the night and is eager to please. His foster is working on redirecting his excitement-based mouthing behavior, and we are happy to provide training support with an approved adopter to help him continue building confidence and skills.
