Bramble is a handsome husky gentleman estimated to be around 8 years old and weighing approximately 55 pounds. He arrived at our rescue from OKC, joining us alongside another spirited pup named Rambo. Bramble is a true treasure – a goofy boy overflowing with personality! He's incredibly food-motivated, adores cuddles, and has a playful spirit. Be warned, he's a master counter-surfer and will enthusiastically investigate any unattended food! He also has a peculiar fondness for socks. While Bramble tolerates his crate, he's known to "sing the song of his people" if boredom strikes. One of his favorite games involves dramatic hand flapping, which he loves to engage in with his mouthy, but not aggressive, enthusiasm. He also has a playful habit of gently play-mouthing ankles, which can be quite a surprise if you're not expecting it! Bramble's unique ears are a result of fly strike damage from his time in rescue, but it certainly doesn't diminish his lovable nature. He's a sweet, playful, and delightfully ridiculous companion who still has so much joy and life to share.
Ideal Home
A home that can appreciate his goofy antics and food-motivated nature. He would likely do well in a home that can provide him with plenty of mental and physical stimulation.
Ongoing Health
Bramble has some damage to his ears from fly strike, which is common in rescue dogs. This does not affect his health or happiness.
Training & Support
Bramble is mouthy when excited, and while he's not aggressive, his enthusiasm can be surprising. Gentle redirection and positive reinforcement will be key. He also enjoys the "hand game" where he play-mouthing is involved. Be mindful that he can get overly enthusiastic and might gently mouth ankles. He also needs to be kept occupied to avoid him "singing" when bored in his crate.
