Kermit the Dog is ready to bring bounces and laughs into your life! This sleek, brindle-striped boy is about 2 years old and weighs around 44 lbs, making him the perfect size for both adventure and couch snuggles. He's a confident and affectionate "Velcro boy" who loves to be close to his people, leaning, snuggling, and seeking out affection. Kermit is house-trained, crate-trained, and has excellent house manners. He's also a good traveler in the car and has a reliable recall. While he can be a little timid in new environments at first, he quickly decompress and shows his sweet, cuddly personality.
Ideal Home
Kermit would thrive in a home with an adopter who appreciates an energetic, sensitive dog with a big capacity for connection. Someone who enjoys both active playtime and quiet evenings at home would be a great fit. Kermit needs a cat-free home, as he shows fear around cats.
Ongoing Health
Kermit is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines. He has received multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. He has also been tested for heartworms.
Training & Support
Kermit is house-trained, crate-trained, and trusted to free-roam. He responds well to boundaries, structure, and clear expectations. He is social with other dogs and has done well with various breeds, sizes, and genders. He is polite when meeting new dogs on leash and is happy to join in play if the vibes are right, but he's also content to hang out or play on his own.

Kermit is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel. Drop-off locations are available in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real-time.
