Poppy

Meet Poppy, a 3-year-old, 47 lb brindle beauty with the most expressive ears and a heart full of love. Her journey began on the streets of Houston, Texas, where she was found by animal control. After a stint in an overcrowded city shelter, she was rescued by a loving foster family. Now, after over a year of waiting, Poppy is ready to find her forever home. She adores people and is described as a happy-go-lucky girl who greets everyone with enthusiasm. Poppy is house-trained, doesn't chew on things, and rests peacefully in her kennel when her foster dad is away. She thrives on activity, enjoying walks and visits to the dog park where she plays well with other dogs. Poppy also travels well in the car.

Ideal Home

Poppy would do best in a home with older children, around 12 years and up, due to her energetic nature.

Ongoing Health

Poppy is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventative medications. She will come with a health certificate prior to transport.

Training & Support

Poppy is house-trained and does not exhibit destructive chewing behaviors. She is social and enjoys playing with other dogs.
