Teddy - Needs Foster!

Teddy is an absolutely adorable 16-year-old Pomeranian who lived with a family with children and other pets. He was deeply loved but unfortunately, his family could no longer afford his veterinary care, leading to his surrender to Freedom Farm. Teddy is a very gentle soul who craves affection and wants to be held all the time. He's wonderful with other dogs, cats, and children of all ages.

Ideal Home

Teddy would thrive in a home with a retired person or someone who works from home, as he adores receiving lots of cuddles and attention.

Ongoing Health

Teddy has slight arthritis and a grade 5 out of 6 heart murmur. Due to his heart condition, he cannot safely undergo anesthesia for procedures like neutering or dental work. His teeth are in poor condition, necessitating a soft food diet. He takes heart medication twice daily, which he readily accepts with a Pill Pocket. He also receives a dental supplement and a high-calorie gel once a day to help him gain weight.

Training & Support

Teddy walks nicely on a leash and typically uses the potty outside during breaks. He occasionally has accidents in the house, but this is easily managed with a washable diaper.
