She arrived at the shelter in pain, with a fractured jaw and bleeding gums, having endured neglect and suffering. Despite her difficult past, Micaela is a resilient and brave girl who is now on the road to recovery. She has a gentle spirit and thrives on compassionate touch, her grateful eyes reflecting her journey to safety.

Micaela is heartworm positive and has begun slow-kill treatment. She has also undergone a full dental cleaning and had damaged teeth removed due to her fractured jaw. She is expected to live a completely normal, pain-free life.
