Nona is a 1-year-old, 50 lb, spayed female Staffie mix with a personality that's really starting to shine! She has a playful puppy spark but is growing into herself, building confidence, and learning to channel her joy into being the best girl. Nona is built like a tank with a short, sturdy frame and an adorably front-heavy build. She's fast and loves to zoom around the backyard with her favorite toy, still greeting her foster mom with an enthusiastic leap when she comes home.
Nona is all sweetness wrapped in a playful package. She loves being near her people and is happy to tag along wherever you go. When excited, her whole body wiggles, and her tail goes a mile a minute. She loves meeting new friends and has been socializing, from strolling downtown to meeting new doggy pals and friendly strangers. She recently met a small child and did wonderfully.
Nona has a stubborn streak that makes her even more lovable and funny. She's clever and loves figuring things out, whether it's solving puzzles or navigating obstacle courses. She's highly motivated by toys and treats, making training fun and rewarding. She's mastered "sit" and is working on her leash manners. Nona is crate-trained, especially overnight, and settles in beautifully. She's doing great with potty training and needs a family willing to continue reinforcing her routine. She's a shy watchdog and will alert you to anything unfamiliar.
Ideal Home
Nona would do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered kids who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She'd thrive with a confident canine friend to play with and learn from, but she'd also be happy soaking up all the attention as your one-and-only.

Training & Support
Nona is working on her leash manners and needs a family willing to continue reinforcing her potty training routine. She can get a little extra attached to a favorite toy, so a canine companion who is respectful of personal space and happy to share the spotlight would be ideal.
