Meet Moose!
Moose is a spirited one-year-old American Pitbull Terrier mix with a handsome white coat splashed with rich brown patches. At around 67 pounds, he's a large boy with an even larger heart, still very much a goofy puppy at heart who brings laughter and affection wherever he goes. One of his favorite ways to ask for attention is by dramatically flopping onto his back for belly rubs, and when he's not collecting cuddles, you can usually find him proudly carrying a ball, playing fetch, or enjoying his favorite chew toys. Moose is house-trained, crate-trained, and comfortable relaxing in his kennel when left alone. After a good play session or walk, he is happy to settle down beside his people and soak up affection. He knows sit, stay, down, and leave it, and his love of treats makes him eager to learn through positive reinforcement. Moose has no history of biting, growling, or nipping people or animals. He rides well in the car and enjoys playtime.
Ideal Home
Moose is compatible with older, respectful children who will not be easily knocked over by his happy greetings. He is also suitable for a cat-tolerant home, as he has shown curiosity rather than aggression around cats. An active individual, couple, or family who enjoys outdoor adventures, enrichment activities, and quality time would help Moose continue growing into the remarkable companion he is becoming.
Ongoing Health
Moose is scheduled to be neutered prior to adoption, and his vaccinations will be brought up to date during that visit.
Training & Support
Like many young dogs, Moose is full of enthusiasm! He sometimes gets so excited about meeting new people, dogs, squirrels, or other fascinating discoveries that he forgets his manners. With consistency, patience, and guidance, he shows great potential and a willingness to learn. He has generally been friendly with other dogs, though he can become overstimulated and benefits from thoughtful introductions.
