Darby

Meet Darby, a sweet and special girl with so much potential to be a wonderful companion! This 40lb Lab mix is an adult, estimated to be born in March 2020, and came to us as an owner surrender. Darby is a gentle soul who adores attention and will politely offer her paw when she's looking for pets. She's also a bundle of energy who loves to play fetch and can truly fly like the wind and jump like a kangaroo when she has the room to run. Car rides are another favorite pastime for Darby; she's a fantastic copilot who enjoys watching the world go by. She's a smart cookie and a quick learner, making her a joy to train with. Darby also shines on walks, staying calm and not pulling, making them a real treat.

Ideal Home

Darby needs a home where she can be the only pet, as she's not fond of other dogs or cats. She also does best in a home without children, as she needs a family who will respect her boundaries. A backyard with a tall fence is ideal for her to safely run and jump. She also dislikes being confined or restrained, so her future family will need to work with her on this.

Ongoing Health

Darby is a healthy girl in excellent shape, with an athletic build.

Training & Support

Darby is looking for a family experienced with dogs and behavior training who can help her shine and build trust and confidence. Providing her with outlets to use her mind and body will be key to her success.
