Kismet-Long Beach, CA

I am Kismet, and my name means destiny or fate. I believe that means I am meant to be with you! I'm a sweet, affectionate, and playful mixed breed of American Staffordshire Terrier and American Bulldog, weighing in at 35 pounds and at 5 years young.

Unfortunately, my current living situation has become a bit complicated. I've had some scuffles with a new canine roommate, and it's best for everyone if I find a home where I can be the star of the show. Despite this, I've been doing wonderfully on pack walks with my dog walker!

I can be a little timid and anxious around new people, and I prefer to approach them on my own terms. Once I feel comfortable, though, I'm sure we'll be lifelong buddies. I really don't appreciate strangers reaching over the fence to tease me, which is part of why I can be wary.

Ideal Home

A home where I can be the only pet would be ideal, as I have not gotten along with my current canine roommate.

Ongoing Health

I am happy to report that I have no known health issues and am already neutered!

Training & Support

I am currently working with a trainer who has found me to be a joy to work with and has not encountered any issues with me. She has also noted that I have been fine with other dogs at her facility. I tend to be a bit anxious and timid with strangers, so a patient and understanding approach will help me to feel secure.
